While all JRP Multi Gauge kits ship with generously long sensor cables, some setups especially custom vehicles, marine applications, or large engine bays need that extra bit of reach. Whether you're installing in a boat, tractor, or a vehicle with a complex layout, our sensor extension cables provide a clean, reliable solution without compromising signal integrity.
These plug-and-play extensions are designed to help you complete your install neatly, without the hassle of cutting, splicing, or soldering cables yourself. And more importantly, they ensure that your gauge readings remain accurate and consistent.
Why Use a JRP Extension Cable?
Many temperature sensors including ours are resistance-based sensors like thermistors, which are sensitive to the type and quality of wiring used. If you attempt to extend these yourself using mismatched wire gauge or poor crimps, you can introduce resistance variations that alter the sensor readings. That can mean inaccurate readings being shown on your gauge.
To prevent this, our extension cables are:
- Made using matched gauge, high-quality wire
- Professionally crimped and terminated with our standardized sensor connectors
- Designed to preserve the integrity of resistance-based sensor signals

Extension Cable Options Available
